This external double-locking mechanism can be installed as either a primary or a secondary (supplementary) lock on any sliding door panel. It has a thickness of 10.5mm. It offers maximum mechanical security, as the strike plate is secured with four screws that anchor into the underlying steel sub-frame. It is recommended by insurance companies—and even the police—as a deterrent against break-ins.
It is easily installed at any height and also serves to prevent small children from accessing the balcony. A key advantage is that its locked or unlocked status is visible from a distance, ensuring we do not leave balcony doors unsecured when leaving the house or even while at home.
It has successfully passed the "Hurricane" test in the USA with flying colors, proving to be the strongest sliding door lock since 2002.
