For retreading a steel belted tire. The T-handle tire repair tool is used to insert a caulking material, usually in the form of rubber-coated strands, into a puncture in a tire. The caulking material is threaded into the open hole of a needle that is part of the tool and inserted into the puncture. The insertion movement is limited by a freely rotating stop on the needle shaft so that the ends of the strand are not pulled into the puncture and the stop also limits the needle's withdrawal.
